 Pickleball Pulse
Me in action playing the game I love!

Hi there, my name is Brad! I am a Pickleball enthusiast from Palm Springs, California.

Welcome to my exciting and informative blog all about the intriguing world of pickleball. The sport, for the uninitiated out there is a strange, but wonderful and addictive combination of elements from other popular racquet sports such as tennis, table tennis and badminton. It involves a tennis/badminton-style court and players use wooden paddles like those used in table tennis. The aim of the game? To hit the pickleball, that is, the little and perforated ball made from polymer.

I’ve always felt Perforated Ball would never have had the same appeal, so it’s just as well that it was named after the creator’s dog Pickles, who used to steal the ball while they tried to play. Anyway, I am a devoted fan of the sport. Have been ever since I discovered it a few years ago. I had been a fan of tennis and badminton, but I loved the fast pace and quirkiness of pickleball. Once I served for the first time I was officially hooked. And with every game I got a little better.

I’m Here To Help Make You The Best Pickleball Player You Can Be!

Once you are hooked on pickleball like me, you will want to do all you can to improve every element of your game. Watching clips of pickleball may make it look easy, but the same could be said when you watch Djokovic or Federer on the tennis court or when you see Messi, Ronaldo or Neymar score.

That’s why I’ve divided Pickleball Pulse into three main sections:

  • Learn About Pickleball – This section of the site gives you the history and background and lots of interesting and fun information about this great sport.
  • Improve Your Pickleball – This section of the site is where you can master the basics and really hone those skills to devastate your opponents.
  • Recommended Gear – This section of the site is where we review and recommend the all the best pickleball gear that we personally know and love!

So, whether you are new to pickleball, have been playing it for a short time or are an experienced veteran like myself, I hope you have a closer look around the site and please be sure to drop me a message if you have any questions or comments.
